Cristiano Ronaldo allegedly sent a brutal message to Ralf Rangnick during his time as interim Manchester United boss and has now been exposed.
With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in charge at United, Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford in 2021. However, the Norwegian was reportedly released during November of that year as Rangnick was said to be in temporary charge until the end of the season. Daily mail.
Afterwards, Ronaldo reportedly made a demand to Rangnick regarding his playing time.
Ronaldo told Rangnick that he will play four of the five matches according to BILD. However, in the one game Ronaldo would miss, he would not be sitting on the bench but watching at home, the Portuguese star reportedly claimed.
When Ronaldo left, having fallen out of favor under Erik ten Hague, he stayed at Manchester United until November 2022.
Ronaldo heavily criticized the club during an interview with Piers Morgan just before leaving United.
He said: “I don't know what's going on but since Sir Alex Ferguson left I haven't seen any development at the club, zero progress. For example, we have the interesting thing that a club like Manchester United, after sacking Ole, brought in sporting director Rangnick, which is something that no one understands.”
He added: “The guy isn't even a coach. A bigger club like Manchester United brought in a sporting director – that surprised not only me but the whole world, you know?”
