LAHORE, April 27 (APP): Former pacer Shoaib Akhter picked up the ICC Men's T20I World Cup trophy on a Rangeela color rickshaw during the fifth and final match between Pakistan and New Zealand at the Gaddafi Stadium. T20I series here on Saturday night.
The crowd-puller of yesteryears was given a warm welcome by the crowd in the stands as they stole a glimpse of silverware and former fast bowling legend Shoaib Akhter.
Earlier in the afternoon, the ICC Men's T20I World Cup 2024 trophy arrived in Lahore on the third and final leg of its three-day tour of Pakistan and was put on display at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to be held in the West Indies and USA between June 2 and June 29. The ICC T20 World Cup trophy arrived in Islamabad on April 25 and was displayed in Abbottabad on the second day of its tour to Pakistan.
