BANGKOK – The founder of Thailand’s leading cryptocurrency exchange says its expected initial public offering would fuel current expansions into developing Southeast Asian countries to create a regional champion to compete with Coinbase and Binance.
Bitkub Capital Group would direct the proceeds from the IPO of its Bitkub Online exchange, which was set for late 2025, to claim untapped markets in the region where regulators are still developing frameworks for digital assets – namely Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos.
