A memorandum of understanding was signed between the National Highways and Highways Police and the Sindh Rescue Service (Rescue 1122) on Wednesday.
The MoU was signed after the representatives in the meeting were informed that the rehabilitation department of Sindh government is committed to improve the emergency service and emergency response in case of any emergency on highways and highways.
National Highways and Highways Police IG Salman Chaudhry, Additional IG Munir Ahmed Sheikh and DIG Muhammad Saleem visited Rescue 1122 Headquarters. Rehabilitation Department Secretary Pervaiz Ahmed, Rescue 1122 Director General Dr. Abid Jalaluddin Sheikh and Director Admin Rescue 1122 (Sindh) Colonel Sardar Ali Shah welcomed the IG, Additional IG and DIG of Highway Police at their rescue headquarters and briefed them about the professional capability of their organization.
Officials said the purpose of the meeting was to increase focus on cooperation for better emergency response on highways and expressways in Sindh. Soon, from July to August 2024, 16 efficient and advanced Rescue 1122 (Sindh) satellite stations will play an important role in this effort.
Both parties agreed on positive cooperation in this direction and a memorandum was also signed to ensure this cooperation. The goal is to work together to keep people safe on highways and highways. Both organizations have decided to use their professional skills to provide timely and quality rescue service to the people on highways and highways.
