Mocky Khan, Didcot’s first Asian mayor and Labor chief of South Oxfordshire and Didcot City councils, mentioned it was “such an honour” to be chosen.
He mentioned: “I’m keen about local weather, schooling, supporting our native companies, giving a voice to the underrepresented and defending our nice NHS, unions and social safety system.
“I’ll have rather more to say on these points within the coming months.”
He mentioned as a councilor he was campaigning for higher services and infrastructure similar to dentists, colleges and GP surgical procedures and was lobbying for a brand new minor accidents unit at Didcot Group Hospital.
He mentioned he would promote the constructing of extra inexpensive houses, help alternatives for younger individuals and susceptible residents and enhance connectivity between South Oxfordshire’s cities and villages by enhancing cycle paths and enhancing public transport hyperlinks.
