DIG Safe City evaluates performance

Islamabad: On the special instructions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police is taking all possible measures to ensure the safety and security of lives and property of citizens and protect them from accidents, said a public relations officer.

He said a meeting was held at the traffic police headquarters under the supervision of DIG Safe City/Traffic where a comprehensive review of the steps taken to manage traffic across the city was conducted. DIG Safe City/Traffic is aimed at speeding up the implementation of traffic laws in the federal capital and further speeding up action against drivers who commit offences.

Therefore, as part of this initiative, new mobile phones equipped with modern technology have been distributed to the traffic police to increase the efficiency of the e-challan system.
