HANOI – Vietnam Electricity has brought online new transmission lines that bring more power from the central part of the country to factories in the north, hoping to prevent more costly outages.
The state-owned enterprise completed the network project in about six months at the behest of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, local media reported, instead of the three to four years that such improvements could take. Činh took part in the opening ceremony of the new lines on Thursday.
