Taipei – Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. broke ground on its first manufacturing plant in Europe on Tuesday to ensure a steady supply of automotive chips for one of the region’s key industries.
The plant ceremony in Dresden, Germany was attended by TSMC Chairman and CEO CC Wei, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
