According to Ibragimov, the head of state has set great tasks for the introduction of new changes in order to reliably ensure the safety of people on the highways and drastically reduce the number of dead.
The head of YHXX noted that new opportunities and conditions have been created for the performance of these tasks.
From July 21, the new Law “On Traffic” (signed in January) entered into force in Uzbekistan. Sherzod Ibragimov said that this law imposes strict responsibility on industry and state authorities and introduces qualitatively new mechanisms.
“Our president is very careful that the laws are consistently enforced in practice, not on paper, so that the reforms penetrate into every house, every neighborhood, and that our compatriots always feel their practical effect in everyday life. On the basis of ensuring their implementation, road users based on the priority “pedestrian – public transport – bicycle transport – motor transport”. creating suitable conditions for safe movement was defined as one of the main directions of ensuring road traffic safety,” he said.
“Increasing the culture of respect for road traffic rules between drivers and pedestrians and their unreserved observance, forming the immunity of the population not to violate them, scientific study of the primary causes of accidents and their comprehensive elimination, educational institutions, accident centers and the creation of a so-called reliable, safe system at pedestrian crossings, as well as an uncompromising fight against serious criminals – will become our urgent task,” promised Sherzod Ibragimov.
The new YHXX boss emphasized that it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure road safety and prevent traffic accidents, and called for cooperation against violations.
“By fully expressing your rights and responsibilities on the roads, you not only show that you obey the law, but also enforce the rules of the road for the people around you,” said the head of the industry.
