At the head of the list is the population, whose debt is 1 billion 626.4 million somoni.
Demands for electricity as of July 1 this year, taking into account previous years, amounted to 3 billion 831.3 million somoni (about 360 million dollars), according to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan.
On the first line in the list are household consumers (population), whose total debt for electricity is more than 1 billion 626.4 million somoni (about 153 million dollars).
They also owed a relatively large amount for the electricity they consumed:
– OJSC “Tajik Aluminum Company” – 492.5 million somoni;
– Reclamation and Irrigation Agency – 134.3 million somoni;
– budgetary organizations and institutions – more than 87.2 million somoni;

Another 1 billion 490.9 million somoni comes from other consumers.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the republic produced about 10.4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in the first half of the year, which is 7.2% less than in the same period in 2023.
Especially:
– Barki Tojik OJSC stations produced 7 billion 950.2 million kilowatt hours of electricity;
– 1 billion 308.8 million – OJSC “Sangtuda HPP-1”;
– 602.7 million – OJSC “Rogun HPP”;
– 393.6 million – OJSC “Sangtuda HPP-2”;
– 111.7 million – Pamir Energy OJSC;
– 5.3 million – small power plants.
The average cost of one kilowatt of electricity in the first half of this year was 36.2 dirhams, which is 5.9 dirhams (19.5%) more than in the same period in 2023.
