BANGKOK – The leader of Thailand’s new progressive opposition has called on Thailand’s ruling Pheu Party to cooperate on a constitutional amendment to protect political parties from court-ordered dissolutions in an effort to stabilize the nation.
People’s Party chairman Nattaphong Ruengpanyawut said such certainty was needed to boost economic growth, which has fallen below 5% every year since 2012, and to ensure a fair distribution of benefits.
