PESHAWAR: The five-member committee of Sarhad Business Alliance (SBA) has finalized the names of candidates for the annual elections of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
A press release said the committee meeting was held on Sunday under the chairmanship of SBA Chief Patron, Ghulam Ali. SBA Chairman Syed Zahir Ali Shah, Malik Mehr Elahi, Muhammad Ishaq while Malik Sajjad represented Sharafat Ali Mubarak in the meeting. .
Candidate names have been finalized for the Affiliate and Corporate Groups for the 2024-26 SCCI elections. The committee selected 10 candidates for affiliate and corporate groups, including two female members. Committee members said the selection ensured that every sector got representation in the chamber elections.
They specified that those who were not selected for the election would be adjusted in key chamber committees and various government councils after the group’s success in the SCCI elections.
The candidates selected for the Associates Group were: Shah Rukh Khan, Aashiq Muhammad, Riaz Hussain, Ikramullah, Bakht Mir Durani, Arshad Mahmood, Ghulam Bilal Javid, Sher Zaman, Muhammad Akram, Shehzad Arif, Adnan Jaleel and Haris Khalid.
The following candidates were selected for the Corporate Group: Dr. Yousaf Sarwar Mohmand, Mohsin Sajjad, Imtiaz Khan, Luqman Shah, Manzoor Elahi, Dr. Mohib Afridi, Atif Shahzad, Farhat Qayyum Piracha, Mamoor Khan and Abidullah Yousafzai.
