Of the more than 90 Indians sent to the war, eight people died, Dojd TV reported. Most of the Indian citizens who went to the front in Ukraine are invited to Russia under the pretext of employment.
Dojd TV reported on Wednesday evening, August 28, that more than 90 Indians were tricked into fighting on the side of Russia in Ukraine, at least eight of whom were killed and whose bodies have not yet been repatriated. A TV channel reported this with reference to Indian Parliament member Vikramjit Singh Sahnaib.
According to the MP, most of the citizens of India who went to war with Ukraine are invited to Russia under the pretext of employment, and then they are forced to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Russia without translators. However, people often realize they are on the front line only after they get there.
TV channel “Dojd” contacted the parents of one of the Indians killed in Ukraine, Ravi Moon, and they said that they promised to place their son in one of the Russian transport companies, but upon arrival in Russia, Moon stood with his family at the front lang.
In July, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Moscow and meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, raised questions about demobilizing Indians under a contract with the Russian Defense Ministry and preventing new recruitment. Putin promised help in solving both problems, but it still did not affect the situation of Indians fighting in Ukraine, notes “Dojd”.
