The news spread on the networks that the 73-year-old sociologist and professor Abdulahat Kakhorov, who lives in the Almazor district of Tashkent, was found in his house with signs of murder, and the killers have not yet been identified. Kun.uz was informed about the situation by the press secretary of the Prosecutor General Hayat Shamsutdinov.
It was reported that on July 18, around 10:00 p.m., neighbors living in house 10, Mukhbir Street, Kara-Kamish 2/5, Almazor district, called “102” and reported a noise in the house of Abdulahat Kakhorov, his voice could be heard. In this regard, a rapid investigation team has reached the spot.
When staff entered the apartment, it was discovered that the professor had died from cuts to various parts of his body on the balcony.
On July 19, the Almazor District Attorney’s Office initiated criminal proceedings under Section 97, Part 1 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code.
The suspect was detained in procedural order. The reasons for the crime are being investigated.
