ISLAMABAD – Pakistani authorities have arrested more than a dozen leaders of the main opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party in an unprecedented crackdown on the party of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan.
In a mass arrest on Monday night and Tuesday morning, most politicians – including party chairman Gohar Khan – were arrested at Parliament House in Islamabad, which the PTI called “#UndeclaredMartialLaw” on its official account on X, formerly Twitter.
