“We are disappointed that Laura’s injury is more serious than first thought and her years of experience and leadership will be missed,” said national coach Ciara O’Brien. “However, Gaby has led previously in Laura’s absence. We are very pleased that she has stepped in to lead the English series and we know she will bring her impeccable high standards to the role.”

Twelve of the 14 players are in both teams with white balls. Alana Dalzell and Joanna Loughran are only part of the ODI squad, while Ava Canning and Christina Coulter Reilly are only in the T20I squad.
Ireland and England play three ODIs – part of the Women’s Championship – in Belfast before moving to Dublin for three T20Is.
