Indian company Avee Broilers may start production of poultry products in Uzbekistan. Gazeta.uz referred to the press service of the “Parrandasanoat” association. reported.
It should be noted that the Committee for the Development of Veterinary and Animal Production and the Indian genetic company Avee Broilers plan to establish poultry production in Zomin, Bakhmal and Gallaorol districts of Jizzakh region and Bulung’ur district of Samarkand region.
The contract is expected to enable breeding of 4 million parent birds for the needs of Uzbekistan and Central Asia. Today, the annual demand for poultry meat in the region is 1.2 million tons or 5.5 million pieces. At the same time, Central Asia imports about 200,000 tons of meat from European countries. The cost of the project is estimated at 43 million dollars. Part of the investment will be covered by Uzbekistan.
In the first stage, in the years 2024-2025, a purebred poultry breeding enterprise will be established, the characteristics of which will be completely passed on from generation to generation due to genetic uniformity.
In the second stage, in 2025, the establishment of one hatchery and breeding of the family flock will begin. This generation will be the basis for the next generation of offspring to produce poultry that will be supplied to the population.
Avee Broilers has announced that it is ready to raise 4 million broilers per year, which is expected to significantly reduce the cost of transporting breeding materials to Uzbekistan.
“Today, the logistics cost of a flock of parents from European countries is $2 per head. “If the project is implemented in Uzbekistan, the price of each head will be 50 cents, which will save up to 5 million dollars in Central Asia,” the report said.
