KABUL (Afghanistan): The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has announced the change of the Minister of Mines and Petroleum.
In accordance with the orders of the IEA Supreme Leader, Shahabuddin Delawar was replaced by Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) Governor Hedayatullah Badri.
IEA Chief Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid wrote on X Delawar has been appointed acting head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS).
Matiul Haq Khalis, the outgoing ARCS chief, will head the National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA), Mujahid said.
According to the IEA spokesperson, DAB Deputy Governor Noor Ahmad Agha has been promoted to the position of Central Bank Governor.
As part of the reshuffle, Nooruddin Turabi, former deputy chief of ARCS, was appointed as the head of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
Likewise, former Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Qudratullah Jamal was appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Information and Culture for Financial and Administrative Affairs.
The former director of the anti-corruption intelligence agency Ahmadullah Zahid became the new deputy minister of trade and industry.
Aziz-ur-Rahman, former NEPA chief, has been appointed ARCS deputy chief and Saduddin Saeed, former deputy information minister, NEPA deputy chief for financial and administrative affairs.
