WASHINGTON – U.S. President Joe Biden spoke directly to the American people Wednesday night for the first time since abandoning his re-election campaign, explaining that it’s time to pass the torch to a new generation.
Sitting behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office and surrounded by photos of his family, Biden said in a televised address that he believes his position as president so far, his leadership in the world and his vision for America’s future merit a second term.
