The government decided to establish a 500-bed multidisciplinary hospital for children from the city of Tashkent instead of the “Zangiota-2” hospital located at the address of the New Circle of the MFY “Tashkent”.
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted the decision “On the establishment of a multidisciplinary children’s hospital in the city of Tashkent”.
In order to effectively use the free buildings and facilities of the Zangiota No. 2 special hospital for the treatment of patients infected with the coronavirus and further improve the system of modern, high-tech, specialized medical care for children under 18 years of age, the Tashkent city hokimity of the hospital “Zangiota-2”, which is located at the address “Tashkent” MFY New Ring Road, a multidisciplinary Tashkent children’s hospital with a capacity of 500 beds will be established in the form of a state institution financed from the state budget.
The buildings and objects of the hospital “Zangiota-2” with the relevant territory are provided free of charge to the children’s hospital on the basis of the right of operational management.
The main tasks of the hospital will be:
- conducting necessary medical examinations for children under 18 years of age, providing highly qualified medical consultation and specialized inpatient care;
- provision of practical and methodical assistance to district medical associations;
- Assistance in introducing modern medical technologies and management methods into the practice of healthcare facilities of the city of Tashkent;
- participation in training, retraining and modernization of medical personnel.
Until September 1, 2024, necessary construction and repair work will be carried out in the buildings and facilities of the Children’s Hospital and they will be adapted for providing medical care to children.
