The leader of the Kyrgyz parliamentary faction Butun Ishak Masaliev stated at a session of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan (Zhogorku Kenesh) that it is necessary to openly support Russia in the confrontation with Ukraine.
According to Masalyev, the conflict ceases to be an internal matter of Russia, which is an ally of Kyrgyzstan, the Fergana agency reports with reference to 24 kg.
“For the second year, hostilities have been taking place between two countries – the Russian Federation and Ukraine. Until recently, it was an internal matter of our ally Russia. I think it was right that we had a neutral position. But since August, bombs and rockets have been flying into 15 regions of Russia. I am particularly concerned that about a million of our citizens work there,” said the deputy.
Second, according to Masalyev, Kyrgyzstan and Russia are allies in the CSTO.
“I appeal to the speaker as a member of the Security Council, we must study this matter deeply and make an appropriate decision. We need to think about the form in which we can provide help. Perhaps the relevant committees should turn to the State Duma and solve the problem. I think we should support,” he said.
In addition, Iskhak Masaliev criticized the recommendation of the National Bank to stop cooperation with Russian financial organizations, and also expressed satisfaction that the former president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambaev withdrew the American military base from the country, because, according to the representative of the people, its presence in the current conflict “may have a significant impact.”
However, Masaliev later clarified that by Russian support he only meant the unfairness of Kyrgyzstan’s obligations to fulfill the sanctions imposed by the European Union and the United States, and also emphasized that Bishkek bears no responsibility for the NWO.
“The form of support is different. Otherwise, it turns out that we are obliged to comply with the sanctions. This means that the European Union and America impose sanctions and we are then obliged to comply with them. We are not responsible for this operation. I believe that our only strategic ally is Russia. The most important argument is only one – a million of our citizens work there,” Masaliev stressed.
