Fines were imposed on 53 persons responsible for the autumn and spring 2024 seasons of the national project “Green Space” in the region. It was found that in the areas planted tree seedlings were not treated, watered and agrotechnical activities were not carried out.
The Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Navoi Region is preparing a study on the state of tree and shrub seedlings planted as part of the national “Green Space” project. Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change informed.
In the conducted study, it was found that in the fall of 2023 and in the spring of 2024, the tree seedlings were not cared for, watered, and no agrotechnical activities were carried out. For these reasons, 10 people died in Uchquduq district, 7 people in Konimekh district, 6 people in Navbahor district, 5 people in Karmana district, 5 people in Kyziltepa district, 5 people in Tomdi district, 5 people in Khatirchi district, 4 people in City Zarafshan, 3 people in Nurota District, Navoi City Fines were imposed on 2 people, 1 responsible person in Ghazgon City.
In connection with the situation, a total of 53 responsible persons were issued an administrative report pursuant to Section 79, Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a fine totaling CZK 180,200,000 was imposed.
According to the ministry, maintenance studies of seedlings planted as part of the national project “Green space” are ongoing in the rest of the regions of the republic.
